The second EP from Interior Moon, recorded in the first few months of 2019, is a miniature progressive album that builds subtly and darkly...
Keep Watch EP
One part contemplative atmosphere and the other rising mania, Keep Watch is a late night EP. Four alt-rock songs from a ten year period that finally found a home together.
All songs Interior Moon. Produced by Dave Dunbar. Images by DHK. (Available with artwork and liner notes)
Interior Moon's Dave Dunbar works in brooding monologues and haunting melodies that either float downstream or get kicked around in his storms. He's been working this way for long enough to finally truly question why he hasn't been releasing it.
An alternative Scottish singer-songwriter, guitarist & recording artist from the rainy, but not bleak north-east, Dave has been fortunate to sing with The Whitenoise Tours and be part of a Pink Floyd tribute band among other projects. Throughout, he has been immersed in writing and recording solo.
At the heart of Interior Moon is always the songs, writing them and translating the sounds in his head, relocating those sounds to the recording and moving on. Relocation! Keep moving...
After years of playing live as a solo artist and working on many 'home' albums, Interior Moon decided to release an EP of self-produced stray material collected up over a decade. This was Keep Watch & it was released in June 2018.
The follow up Ceiling, released July 2019, was inspired by old demo ideas from a once lost minidisc, and it shows a more progressive rock, instrumental side with more emphasis on soundscapes.
Autumn 2019 will see the release of Premonition Songs, an album of tracks recorded with producer Paul Emerson at Captain Toms Studio, Aberdeen, from 2005 - 2009. This material showcases Interior Moon's early songwriting days.
